"Nice speakers"
|
Bought my Lasers about one year ago and hooked them up with a Fisher monster receiver from the same era. Maybe it's that combination that makes it sound so good, maybe it's just the Wharfedales, hard to say. I like the way it swings, it plays any kind of music and if you keep the volume on a acceptable level it's just amazing.
Last autumn we changed our house and I used that moment to buy some smaller but more matching AR 40's. They are oke, but after some months I missed the power and sound from my lasers. Even my wife (music means not much to her) told me the lasers sounded much better. They are back and here to stay. For the moment :-).
Conclusion: good speakers when matched up with a good and warm amplifier. If you like reggae, pop, rock and are on a low budget try them out if you see a good pair in healthy condition. You won't be diaspponted.
